[SOLUCIONADO] Cuelgues en Debian Jessie al navegar en Internet

Saludos a todos, hoy quería decirles sobre este problema. A la hora de navegar en Iceweasel, al tener abierto Facebook, no tengo casi problema alguno, pero cuando abro 3 o 4 páginas, el navegador se pone pesado. A la hora de abrir páginas como Soundcloud o Youtube, de inmediato se congela toda la interfaz visual, impidiendo así poder ver qué proceso está interfiriendo en el funcionamiento de Debian. Ésto no sucedía antes, puesto que en Iceweasel me iba fluido y en Chrome me corría el Pepper Flash Player con mejor rendimiento que en Iceweasel.

Con el pasar de las actualizaciones, dicho problema se presentó de forma súbita, precisamente, a la hora de tener abierta la página de Facebook abierta y/o cualquiera que tenga una generosa cantidad de Flash Player y/o javascript.

No sé, pero antes podía navegar tranquilamente en Iceweasel y Chrome/Chromium sin problema alguno teniendo el Facebook abierto, y encima, el dmesg no me ocasionaba problemas.

Mis sospechas apuntan a que Wicd está ocasionando dichos cuelgues desde que reemplacé mi ceular Android por la antena WiFi USB que le he puesto (aunque éso no debería ser motivo para que se cuelgue).

@eliotime3000 algo así me ha estado pasando últimamente con Iceweasel, más no con Chromium y solamente cuando uso Flash. En cuanto a tus sospechas con Wicd, es posible que también pueda ser, Wicd está dando bastante problemas actualmente usando los driver con Wireless Extensions (wext) que es el modo de compatibilidad que muchas de las tarjetas WiFI usan en Linux cuando no ofrecen buen soporte con cfg80211. No es mala idea revisar los logs continuamente buscando algún detallazo en cuanto a esa opción.

Con respecto a los logs, he visto en el dmesg que prácticamente no notifica nada de cuelgues y solamente las desconexiones que me ocasiona el falso positivo de la extensión del puerto USB de mi PC, pero he descubierto que -incluso con la conexión de mi celular Galaxy Mini en modo tethering- el Wicd hace que el Iceweasel, Chrome/Chromium y Opera Blink se cuelguen respectivamente cuando hay páginas con demasiado javascript y Flash (cosa que no me sucedía con NetworkManager). Irónicamente, cuando los navegadores entran en fase de cuelgue, el ícono de Wicd cambia el color del ícono de monitor de un fondo negro a un fondo azulado, por lo que la hipótesis del uso del Wireless Extensions esté ocasionando el problema es la más certera.

Además, hay antecedentes que encontré en ArchLinux y Gentoo, aunque la verdad no sé cómo corregir el comportamiento de Wext en Wicd (o si Wicd pueda funcionar sin esa dichosa función).

Y por si fuera poco, en mi netbook, Iceweasel 36 no tiene problemas ni a la hora de usar Flash (advierte para desactivar el plugin, mas no se sobrecarga a tal grado de sufrir un cuelgue).

Si que puedes hacerlo, SysV maneja sin problemas sysctl, solo crear un archivo en /etc/sysctl.d/50-personal.conf y agrega esta linea

kernel.perf_cpu_time_max_percent = 0

Ya con eso deberías poder aplicar el workaround que mencionan.

En cuanto a wicd y las extensiones wext me temo que no tendrás salida, ya que estas son necesarias para que WiCD pueda funcionar correctamente, muy a diferencia de NetworkManager. En mi caso, que también he tenido problemas con WiCD y wext, mi opción fue usar NetworkManager usando su interfaz CLI, nmtui con eso me evitaba cargarme toda la boleria de paquetes cuando usaba Openbox y awesome.

Excelente tip, puesto que la verdad estaba sufriendo con los repentinos cuelgues. Y por cierto, he estado viendo detenidamente el Wicd y la verdad es que no hay nada malo en él ni he visto error alguno en el Wicd que me ocasionara un "cuelgue".

Y por cierto, estoy cambiando los atributos a TODOS los archivos de mi partición de Windows Vista para que no sean indexados y así no tener que ver el indicador LED del disco duro quedarse ahí prendido y así evitar sufrir con cuelgues (ahora sí puedo usar mi partición de Windows con tranquilidad).

Si tu maquina arranca sin problemas, entonces déjame decirte, que ese error no es nada grave, lo que pasa es que durante el booteo el kernel trata de montar la partición sda3 para poder leerla, seguramente esta partición sea una partición primaria donde esta alojado la partición  /boot o /, y en el montaje de dicha partición el kernel intenta montarla usando todas los FS conocidos, desde BTRFS hasta UFS, este ultimo falla y te muestra el error en el dmesg, aunque fíjate que prueba varios FS y todos fallan, lo que me hace pensar que tal vez sda3 sea una partición extendida.

Como sea no es primera vez que veo el error, a mi también se me ha presentado, y si tu maquina arranca sin rollos no tienes de que preocuparte. Preocupate solo si tu maquina no arranca para nada, porque entonces eso puede significar que tu FS está dañada y tal vez te toque hacer un e2fsck -pfv sobre la partición en cuestión luego de asegurarte que sea cualquier cosa menos una partición extendida.

Pondré el tema como [resuelto] porque descubrí que, por culpa de unos paquetes que estaban corruptos en las dependencias, han hecho que el rendimiento de mi instalación de Debian Jessie empeorase hasta sufrir situaciones calamitosas con el Xorg y las aplicaciones que demandan demasiado en video y procesador.

Lo que me quedó es reinstalar mi partición con Debian Jessie y así volver a tener el rendimiento de antes, aunque con el SystemD a cuestas.
